| Tunasi is the Newari word for roof supports or struts commonly found in the pagoda-like temples of Nepal. The extreme overhangs of the roof are supported by 45 degree angle struts adorned with Gods, Goddesses, and images of either dancing women or “angels” (apsara). Corner struts are called kusuru and are usually in the image of a dragon or monster. |
